Words. Established in 1982 by Jeff Michon. Later joined in 1987 by his borther Tony. Now there’s 25 of us. Honest, passionate, creative and intelligent.

Jeff wanted an agency that was second to none for customer service and that offered an intelligent blend of marketing and design. We’ve grown from strength to strength over the years to become a full service agency working with clients who’ve been with us for over 10 years. We really care about our work because we care about our clients.

We believe we work better in light, bright surroundings, so we moved to our new premises in May 2008. We’d outgrown our old office, so it made a refreshing change to have everyone under one roof. The building started life as an old school, then it was a cinema and for many years it was the heart of the community as the church hall. Then it went up for sale and, despite the huge challenge, the Michon brothers took it on and lovingly restored it to its former glory.

From energy efficient underfloor heating to workstations made from recycled materials, we used as many green features as possible.

We like to do our bit for the environment, through our own activities and the work we do for our clients, so we’ll always recommend recycled stocks, vegetable based inks or doing things digitally to cut down on resources. We’re lucky to have a great community around us too. We only had to pop over the road to the new church hall to find models for a recent campaign and the local residents helped us raise over £500 for Comic Relief by coming to the Michon car wash and cake sale too!

We’ve also had our running shoes on doing races for charity and walking dogs at the local RSPCA at lunchtimes.
